About R.Y Langham, PhD
Dr. R.Y. Langham is a certified psychologist and marriage therapist. She holds a BA in English from Fisk University, an MMFT in marriage and family therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University, and a PhD in family psychology from Capella University.
Dr. Langham serves as a professional consultant for the Between Us Clinic, where she writes, edits, and reviews professional materials and articles on the topics of sex and relationships.
Dr. Langham has edited and reviewed the Medical Review website articles and wrote and edited the CIGNA weekly newsletter. In addition, she has been writing for mainstream magazines, such as Psych Central, Health Central, Women’s Health, Mandatory, and more. She also served as the editor-in-chief of a university literary magazine for four years.
Dr. Langham taught English composition at a local college before publishing her first psychological study on the long-term effects of sexual abuse on the adult female.
In addition, Dr. Langham has a tremendous amount of experience counseling families, couples, individuals, and children on adjustment issues such as blended families, same-sex couples, dysfunctional family relationships, relationship issues, etc.
